All of our teachers have successfully completed the Music Together® Teaching Workshop developed by the Center for Music and Young Children, Princeton, New Jersey.
They:
* learned about the research-based Music Together curriculum design
* learned how to assess children's music development
* learned developmentally appropriate practice and music
* practiced using child-development observation tools during the demonstration class
* learned to design lesson plans that result in classes with artistic energy and flow
* learned more about parent education and the importance of involving adult primary caregivers
Kadi Sibi/ Director
Kadiatou (Kadi) is a registered Music Together teacher and mother of a beautiful 3 1/2 year old boy who loves to drum and dance and a little girl born in November of 2008! Kadi is delighted to experience music in this new phase as a mother with other mothers. She knows how precious it is to spend loving time with her children in a developmentally appropriate supportive community.
Kadi has performed with various musical and dance groups such as Stevie Wonder, Debbie Allen, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers and many more. She was born in Julangel, The Gambia in West Africa and raised in New York City. Her artistic career began in New York at the age of seven as a dancer/singer in a play called "My Dog is Lost". As a teen she was the lead singer of a Classical European choral group that performed internationally. She studied Comparative Religion and Sculpture at the University of Vermont and toured for 7 years internationally with the fusion music group Belizbeha performing in almost 1000 shows!
Returning to New York she studied West African Dance at Djoniba Dance and Drum Center and at the Maimouna Keita Dance Studio for 4 years. She moved to Los Angeles in 2002 after a major car accident, but miraculously healed her spine and pelvis without surgery. She continues to study with West Africa's leading dance masters and choreographers.
Kadiatou, her husband Sheng and their son, Machuan and daughter Mayeeda, live in Marina del Rey where they love to travel, cook, sing and dance.

Mona Seda
Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Mona Seda is a registered Music Together teacher, Brass instructor and free-lance trumpeter with a passion for teaching and performing who loves music from all around the world. She has a Masters degree from the Eastman School of Music and a Bachelors in Music Education. She has taught for 19 years both in Switzerland and in the U.S. and currently also teaches early childhood classes in Hollywood. Mona actively performs on a regular basis from Mariachi music to Jazz and from Salsa to Classical music. She is very excited to teach Music Together because its mission rings true to her heart.
Krstina Sebez
Kristina is a certified Music Together teacher, with a B.A. From UCLA . She has been teaching piano in both group and private classes, for over 14 years. She has taught piano to children as young as four and enjoys helping her students achieve their musical potential. Her interest in piano started as early as age two, at her childhood home in the South Bay area. Her experiences as a music director for a large music school and retailer helped expand Kristina's knowledge and love of all instruments. Kristina is a strong believer that music is an essential part of human existence and is excited to build confidence through musical competency at an early childhood age.
Deborah Dietrich
Deborah Dietrich , a registered music teacher, is a professional singer, Bulgarian vocals expert, and California native, working on stage, in film/t.v., and in the studio (e.g., solo vocals for Steven Spielberg/John Williams on the "Minority Report" score and for Richard Gibbs on "Queen of the Damned" and "Battlestar Gallatica"; backup vocals for Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Diana Krall, David Crosby; performances live on the Academy Awards, A Prairie Home Companion, and at A.C.T. in Hecuba with Olympia Dukakis, among many other creative endeavors). For 13 years Deborah sang with KITKA Women's Vocal Ensemble in Oakland, an eight-woman a cappella group specializing in Eastern European folk music, before hanging up her costume bag to come to L.A. and make a family. The mother of one daughter, Deborah is thrilled to be a part of Music Together and enjoys combining her life-long passion for music with her enthusiastic support and love for young children.
